The Montessori Academy of Tampa Bay was established in 1993 and educates children from 12 months through the 6th Grade. The classrooms feature mixed age groups including elementary levels. The Montessori materials range from beginner levels to intermediate and finally advanced. Daily Spanish classes and weekly Chinese lessons compliment a full curriculum of Language, Mathematics, Sensorial, Practical Life, Science, Geography, History, Social Studies, and more. Advanced and complex materials in Botany, Biology, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Graphing are just a few of the exercises in Montessori Elementary classrooms. Special events include Science Fairs, International Festivals, Historian Fairs, Family Day, Kindergarten Graduation, and Honor\'s Night. Our elementary curriculum is a blend of traditional and Montessori education which aids in the transition of school age children to middle schools upon graduation. We also offer Standardized Testing for Kindergarten and Elementary students so that parents can chart their child\'s progress and achievements. For the past ten years many of our Montessori students have ranked in the upper ten percent nationally. This alone is a testament to the sound education practices that the Montessori Method provides.
