About Connecticut Junior Republic

Regular, special, vocational and alternative education, as well as transition and related services, are provided for boys who are enrolled in the Cable Academic and Vocational Education Center on CJR\'s Litchfield campus.

Education programs at the Junior Republic serve boys with special needs as well as students with behavioral, emotional and learning difficulties, who would benefit from a therapeutic and highly individualized learning environment. Students ages are from 12 to 21, are served, and generally live within busing distance to CJR\'s Litchfield campus.
