About Greater Johnstown Christian Academy

It is the philosophy of the Greater Johnstown Christian Academy that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovering. Preschool children are creative and receptive; therefore, the staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in the children who attend.

The preschool provides a Christ-centered atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth and development of the child as a whole. The preschool program utilizes the A Beka curriculum. Our daily schedule includes sharing and conversation time, stories, songs and finger plays, creative art activities, games and large muscle activities, Bible time and prayer, field trips throughout the community, food preparation, science activities, exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, letters, simple Spanish and sign language, and the celebration of birthdays and holidays. A ten-to-one child/teacher ratio ensures that each child receives individual attention and encouragement.

Preschool Hours of Operation
4 Year Old Preschool: $145 a month
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Half Day - 9:00 AM - Noon
Full Day - 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

3 Year Old Preschool: $100 a month
Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 AM - Noon
