PLEASE READ ALL FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The following financial information represents the official tuition fee and schedule for the school year 2009-2010. The information is provided for the benefit of the parents and individuals interested in attending the Hartford Area SDA School.

NOTE: A constituency member must be a member of any one of the following Seventh-day Adventist churches: Faith, Hope, and Charity. This individual must also be the parent or guardian whose name appears on the school application as responsible for paying tuition and fees of the student and is the person to whom billing and other information is sent.

APPLICATION FEE: (New Students only) $25.00 must accompany application form.

REGISTRATION FEES: CONSTITUENCY MEMBER (SDA) $250.00, NON-CONSTITUENCY MEMBER (NON SDA) $250.00
(This one time fee is charged per student for the school year to cover the cost of Registration, Accident Insurance, and the supplies for: Art, Science & Computer Labs. Applicants will be informed of other specific fees e.g. T-shirts, Gym Uniform, Student Planners, etc. at the time of registration).

TUITION:
PRE - Kindergarten - $160.00 WEEKLY
REGISTRATION - $115.00

Discounted Lump Sum Payment:
Kindergarten: CONSTITUENCY MEMBER (SDA) $3,060, NON-CONSTITUENCY MEMBER (NON SDA) 3,420
Grades 1-8: CONSTITUENCY MEMBER (SDA) $2,790, NON-CONSTITUENCY MEMBER (NON SDA) $3,240

Payable in ten (10) equal monthly installments, August-May. First payment begins in August.

GENERAL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE:

APPLICATION - $ 25.00
REGISTRATION - $250.00
BOOK FEE - $200.00 (K-8)
HOME & SCHOOL - $ 20.00

GRADUATION: Grade 8 is $200.00 and Kindergarten is $100.00

WITHHOLDING OF GRADES:
Diplomas, Final examinations or Report cards will not be given until the student account is paid in full. This policy is in harmony with the Hartford Area SDA School and Atlantic Union Conference of SDA Education Dept.

EXTENDED CARE: $150.00 per month per child
Hours are 3:30 - 5:30 pm M-Th
2:00 - 3:00 pm Friday
An additional $15 will be assessed for every 5 minutes after 5:30pm (M-Th) and 3:00 pm (F), that a child remains in extended care.

Any child not in extended care that is picked up after 3:30 pm (M-Th) or 2:00 pm (F) will be assessed $30 per occurrence.

RETURNED CHECKS: A fee of $25.00 will be charged for checks returned.

LUNCH: State Income Guidelines are used to classify students for free or reduced lunch. Those who are not classified under the state program are charged the full price of $40.00 per month.

LATE FEE: Tuition is due and payable on the 1st of each month. A late fee of $30 will be assessed on payments made after the 10th of the month.

TO REGISTER: The application fee, registration fee, first and last month's tuition must be paid to complete registration.

HOME & SCHOOL Association: Home and School fee is $20 per child per year payable at registration. The Home and School Association serves as a link between our homes and the school. One of its major responsibilities is to raise funds for the school. It also plans appropriate programs for the development of parents and students.

Payments must be made directly to the school office. Parents must ensure that they collect a receipt for every payment made to this school.
