*All classes meet 9:00 until noon except 4B and PK which meet until 1:00.
**There is an optional lunch bunch available for $5/day from noon to 1:00, Monday through Thursday, for children in the 2A, 2B, 2/3, 3A, 3C and 4A classes.

FINANCIAL POLICY - 2012/2013
All SFYC Applications must be accompanied by the Registration Fee. The Fee is $75 for the first child in a family and $50 for each sibling.
We also require payment of one month's tuition which is applied to the month of December, 2012. The œAdvanced December Tuition  may be included with your Registration Fee or it may be paid according to the following schedule:
One half of the December Advanced Tuition or $100, whichever is larger, must be paid for each child on or before the end of the month following the month of registration.
The balance of the Advanced December Tuition must be paid by the end of the month two months following registration.
At the time of registration you will be given a schedule for payment of your Advanced Dec. tuition.
***Note: Students who register after August 1, 2012, may defer payment of December tuition until December.
All monies collected are nonrefundable with two exceptions:
We will return all money if a child cannot be placed in the desired class.
Families who move out of Guilford County prior to December, and give us at least two week's advance written notification, will be refunded their Advance December Tuition.
After January 31, 2013, the registration fee will be reduced to $50 for all children registering for the remainder of the school year.
Tuition: The amount of tuition, determined by the class in which the child is enrolled, appears on the top of the Application form.
Monthly tuition paid by personal check should be dropped in the black tuition box in the SFYC office. If tuition is paid in cash, the parent is responsible for handing the money to a director and obtaining a receipt. Please bring the correct amount because the office does not keep money on hand to make change. At no time should cash be left in the tuition box. Parents will be responsible for misplaced or lost cash tuition without a receipt.
Lunch Bunch: Children in 2A, 2B, 2/3, 3A, 3C and 4A may stay for an optional Lunch Bunch from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for $5 each day. Lunch Bunch is available on a day-by-day basis as desired.
Returned Check Policy: The fee for a returned check is $25 payable to SFYC.
Late Payment: Monthly tuition is due the beginning of each month beginning with September and ending with May (except December, when December Advanced Tuition has already been paid).
The School for Young Children Committee has adopted the following policy regarding tuition payments,which will be strictly enforced: œAnnual tuition is divided into nine equal payments for the convenience of the parents. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a late fee of $10.00 will be charged and if it is received after the 15th of the month, a late fee of $25 will be charged.
In extenuating circumstances, if the family is unable to pay tuition, it is requested that they speak with a director so that a satisfactory arrangement can be made. Failure to comply may result in student dismissal and the student will not be readmitted until tuition and late fees are paid in full.
Withdrawals: If you need to withdraw your child from SFYC, we ask that you notify SFYC in writing as soon as possible. Tuition must be paid for at least two weeks following written notification of withdrawal.
