About The Phoenix Elementary School

Enrollment

It's time to think about possibilities for your child's education! If you're wondering about the value of a private education in grades K-8, we'd love to meet your family and share information about our school.

Take the 1st Step!
For more information about The Phoenix Schools, Private K-8, please contact the school by calling (916)353-0185, then complete and submit the brief online form. If you submit an inquiry form, we'll give you a call to learn more about your child and his/her educational needs.

Step 2 - Visit our School
Prospective families are invited to visit the school and speak with either of two administrators, Rhonda Short, Resource Administrator, or Claudia Sherry, Principal. You'll be given an opportunity to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and have time to observe any portions of the day you would like.

Step 3 - Shadow Day
Interested in seeing how your child likes the school? We will schedule a day (or part of a day) for your child to spend with our teachers and potential new classmates. At the end of that time together, your family will have more information as you make a sound decision for your child's education.

Step 4 - Registration
Our staff will provide you with the necessary registration forms, emergency contact information, and the tuition agreement. We will discuss the start date for your child, if his/her enrollment is a transition during the school year.

Gathering Information About Your Child
Once registered, assessments for your child will be administered depending on the grade level he/she is entering. Assessments may include reading readiness, oral language skills, reading fluency, comprehension, writing skills, knowledge of number sense and higher order math skills. This information will provide the teacher with the areas of strength for your child and the identified areas for growth. If your child has been in school, we will ask for school records, report cards, and we will ask if there are any specific needs you see that need to be addressed for your child.

Military Families
Our school extends a discount to families who have a parent currently serving in our Armed Forces.

Please contact the school directly for tuition prices!
