St. Columbkille Elementary is a Holy Family Catholic School serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We also have wrap-around care and a preschool with classes for 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and 4- and 5-year-olds.

We provide children with an outstanding learning experience where they are challenged to discover their talents in mind, body and spirit.

From all-day kindergarten through fifth grade, our academics challenge students to discover their talents in a variety of ways. We offer differentiated instruction, a resource program for special-needs students and a computer-based accelerated reading program. We have technology integrated into our classes with the use of laptop carts and currently have a 4:1 student to laptop ratio.

St. Columbkille students\' test scores are consistently above average on the Iowa test of Basic Skills.

The school offers a friendly, Christian environment. St. Columbkille\'s staff is concerned with the whole human life and the integration of religious, Catholic values into our children's lives. We strive to cultivate the intellect of our students and motivate and challenge each child to reach his or her fullest potential in academic and social skills.

We worship together each week in the celebration of the Eucharist. We work together as a community to support one another, while also stressing the need to reach out in service to others in our school, community, state, nation and world.
