About Our Lady Of Peace

OUR TUITION PHILOSOPHY
We recognize that financial and time commitments are unique to families. Over the years we have worked to find the right balance between fundraising and volunteering. For a community as diverse as ours we wish to give consideration to these varied situations. At registration and/or re-registration, families select their tuition plan for the year, which differs in the required levels of participation in fundraisers. Fundraisers offset tuition as well as offer volunteer opportunities. They provide a necessary source of income to the school and also the opportunity for community and relationship building among our parents, faculty and staff. We get to know each other and become more involved in our children Ÿs, and grandchildren Ÿs lives. We encourage all of our families to participate in these activities, but understand that not everyone can do so at the same levels. We believe by providing different options we are able to meet the school Ÿs operating needs, as well as keep Catholic education affordable for all families. Let Ÿs work together for the success of our school!
GENERAL TUITION INFORMATION
Tuition plans and payment options for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year have been reviewed by the Finance Office of Christ the Servant Parish on behalf of Our Lady of Peace School. Families have two options for tuition payments, which are summarized below and represent a contract between the family and Our Lady of Peace School. Report cards, and/or transcripts will not be released until all tuition payments, and outstanding debts are current; resulting in a $0.00 account balance at the end of the respective school year.
Christ the Servant parishioners, meeting the requirements, will have a designated amount of the full cost of tuition subsidized by the parish. The œParishioner tuition rates will be for those families who are registered, attend weekend liturgies, take part in activities, and financially support the parish collection with envelopes. Non-Parishioners may register at a \"Non-Parishioner\" tuition rate on a žspace Ÿ available basis. Catholic families of other parishes without schools will make arrangements for payment of tuition charges through their respective parishes. All families are responsible for payment according to the agreed contract. Scrip earnings, scholarships and financial assistance are credited to the family Ÿs tuition account and will appear on the tuition statement. The per-pupil cost is the cost for school operating expenses to educate one child. Christ the Servant Parish invests in your child(ren) by subsidizing Our Lady of Peace School Ÿs budget. Additionally, the school Ÿs Home & School Association and Men Ÿs Club raise funds which support some of the school Ÿs needs and athletics. Your support of these organizations is appreciated and we encourage you to get involved by attending meetings and working on various committees throughout the school year.
By enrollment and attendance at Our Lady of Peace School, you accept the conditions set forth as it relates to the tuition schedule, respective tuition payment plans, and any Handbooks/Guidelines provided to you from Christ the Servant Parish, or Our Lady of Peace School.

EDUCATIONAL FEE
A non-refundable $150.00 per student educational fee is due at the time of registration/re-registration. This fee cannot be included in the FACTS payment plan. This fee, regardless of parish affiliation, is the responsibility of the family, not the contributing parish. This fee covers the cost of various workbooks, supplies, technology, Diocesan fees, and holds a place for your child for the fall. For returning students, fees unpaid as of March 12th are subject to an additional late registration fee of $100.00 per student (unless alternative arrangements have been made).
PAYMENT METHODS
On behalf of Our Lady of Peace School, the Parish Finance Office is no longer accepting individual monthly payments for students in grades K-8 unless they are received via the FACTS program as defined below. All tuition must be paid-in-full on or before August 1, 2012 resulting in a zero ($0.00) balance as of August 2, 2012, or enrolled in FACTS prior to August 1st. Payments received between August 2nd and August 31st will be subject to a $150.00 surcharge.
Two (2) payment options have been approved for grades K-8 for the 2012 - 2013 school as indicated:
Option 1 - Single payment (full tuition balance) due on or before August 1, 2012 per the TUITION SCHEDULE. Payment may be made via Cash, Check, or Credit Card.
ï‚· If you are paying by Credit Card, a 2.5% bank fee will be assessed to your tuition; therefore, calculate your total tuition for the year and increase that amount by 2.5%. Example: 1 child tuition = $2,425 plus the 2.5% bank fee ($60.63) = $2,485.63.
Option 2 - The FACTS Monthly Payment Plan is budgeted over ten months which begins August 1, 2012. For a minimal enrollment fee, your tuition payments are automatically withdrawn from your designated bank account monthly. This payment plan is administered by an outside party and requires that you complete the Automatic Tuition Payment Agreement form as provided by FACTS. Please contact the Parish Finance Office (330.492.0757) for additional information.
Additional tuition funding/payment options may be offered and provided by your individual banking institution. By reference of other institutional programs, Christ the Servant Parish nor Our Lady of Peace School make any endorsement. We encourage you to contact your bank to learn more about programs they may offer.
Each respective child Ÿs/family Ÿs tuition statement must have a zero ($0.00) balance one (1) week prior to the start of the 2012-2013 school year. Should there be an account balance, your child(ren) will not be able to attend the first day, or subsequent days of school until the account has a zero ($0.00) balance.
Early Learning Center payments are due the 1st day of each month with payment in full inclusive of any billed Extended Care hours.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
Our Lady of Peace School is aware there may be extenuating circumstances that may limit a family Ÿs ability to commit to the 2012-2013 published tuition schedule. Within our ability, our intent is to provide an opportunity for those families who desire a Catholic education for their child(ren), and want to attend Our Lady of Peace School. If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances, please contact the School office (330.492.0626) or the Parish Finance office (330.492.0757) for additional information, and respective tuition assistance applications.
Once you have reviewed and completed the tuition assistance form(s), please return them in a sealed envelope to either the School office, or the Parish Finance office with žTUITION COMMITTEE Ÿ written on the front. Submitted requests will be reviewed monthly by this Committee. Upon review and final decision of the request, a letter will be sent to the requestor advising of the Committee Ÿs decision. All requests and discussions within this Committee are held in strict confidence.
