About Countrywood Elementary School

Countrywood Elementary and Junior High School was founded in 1986 and since then continually has been providing quality education to children ages 5 to 14 years. We are open Monday through Friday, 52 weeks per year, closing only on major holidays. The academic day for kindergarten through sixth grades is 8:30am to 2:30pm, and junior high from 8:15am to 2:45pm. On-site before and after school child-care services are available during the school day from 6:00am to 8:00am and from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

The basis of our curriculum is enrichment and challenge, designed to fully develop the mind, spirit, and individuality of each child. The material is presented using a wide variety of teaching methods that encourage the learner to respond and participate, and is instructed in a way that allows time for deeper study and mastery. Our students generally work at or above grade level and are well prepared for any secondary school of their choice.
