Scholarships and Financial Aid
Mount Saint Mary Academy awards a number of scholarships each year. In addition to scholarships, financial aid for tuition assistance is available to qualified families. The amount of money set aside for scholarships and financial aid is set by the Board of Trustees, who annually reviews the program through its budgetary process. To be considered for either need-based or merit-based financial aid, a student must take the Mount Saint Mary Academy entrance exam and complete a formal application for admission.

Scholarships
For the current admissions year, scholarships include:
Full Scholarship - Perfect Score on the Entrance Exam

Any student who earns a perfect score on the entrance exam will earn free tuition for four years provided she maintains her grade point average to the current standard.

Mercy Scholarship
Students who earn high scores on the entrance exam may earn the distinction of Mercy Scholar, which may entitle them to a $3,500 per year scholarship and a free tablet computer. (**Please note this changes from year to year depending on the number of scholarships issued.) Mercy Scholars are also placed into the Honors track automatically without additional placement tests. Mercy Scholars must maintain their grades to the current standard in order to retain the scholarship for four years.
Financial Aid

Need-based financial aid is processed through an independent organization, the School and Student Services of the National Association of Independent Schools. Families may request financial aid by going online to http://sss.nais.org/parents/. The financial application for the 2012-2013 academic year must be completed by February 28, 2012. In addition to the financial aid application, any family seeking financial assistance must provide the two previous years\' W-2 statements and IRS tax returns with evidence of filing dates.
