Foundation Fees
The Foundation Fee must be paid in full before the student(s) can attend class. Incoming K-4 families can elect to pay the Foundation Fee in ten (10) equal installments of $75.00 each month for August through May of their first year.

Enrollment Contract
Each family will submit an Enrollment Contract signed by the parent or guardian who is financially responsible for the payment of all tuition and fees. The annual registration fee of $150 is due June 15. If received after June 15, the fee is $250.

Tuition Payment Plans
Three tuition payment plans are available:
One annual payment, must be paid by August 20, 2012. Families choosing this option will not be exempt from any increase in tuition or fees that occur during the school year.
Ten monthly payments, beginning August 2012 and ending May 2013.
Twelve monthly payments, beginning June 2012 and ending May 2013.

Building Assessment
The building assessment of $45 per family per month is due twelve months a year, regardless of the tuition plan chosen. The assessment is due as long as the family has a student enrolled in the school.

Book Fees
Each student will pay a one hundred dollar ($100) book fee per year. Payment can be made in one payment by August 20 or ten equal monthly payments of $10 for August through May. The $100 fee is due even if a student withdraws before the end of the school year.

Monthly Billings
Tuition and fees are due the first day of the month. Any amounts not paid by the 20th day of the month are considered past due and will be subject to a late fee of five percent (5%) of the unpaid balance. This late fee will be assessed every month on any unpaid balance unless a specific exemption has been granted by the Finance Committee or the Board of Trustees.

Payments must be received and ready for deposit by the 20th of the month to be considered timely paid. Checks dated after the 20th are not considered timely payments regardless of when they were delivered to the School. If the 20th of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, payments received on the next business day after the 20th will be considered timely payments.

If a family is experiencing financial difficulties, alternative payment plans may be considered. The family should contact the Controller and provide a written payment proposal. Any financial arrangements other than the standard payment options must be presented to the Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Trustees. Any such agreements will be documented and will be binding and enforceable on their terms.

Past Due Accounts
Accounts with past due balances will be subject to action by the Board of Trustees.

Such action may include, but is not limited to, inability to participate in sports or other activities, holding grades and/or transcripts, or any other action the Board deems necessary. Accounts with past due balances of ninety (90) days or more may result in suspension or expulsion from Pike Liberal Arts.

Report cards and/or grades will not be sent for accounts with past due balances of thirty (30) days or more. No student will be allowed to register or attend Pike Liberal Arts until all amounts due from the prior school year have been paid.

Transcripts and/or grades will not be sent for any student graduating or withdrawing from Pike Liberal Arts until all financial obligations have been paid.

New Students
The first month's tuition for students entering or reentering Pike Liberal Arts after the start of the school year, will be determined by the date the student is considered officially enrolled at the School and assessed as follows:

Date of Enrollment
1st through 10th -- Full month tuition
11th through 20th -- Two-thirds (2/3) month tuition
21st through EOM -- One-third (1/3) month tuition

Students Withdrawing
If a student is enrolled at Pike Liberal Arts on the first day of any month, all tuition and fees for that month is owed. The $100 annual book fee is due owed even if a student withdraws prior to the end of the school year.

If a student withdraws from Pike Liberal Arts and subsequently applies for readmission, the readmission fee must be paid in full before that student can attend class.

Annual Fundraiser
The major fundraiser for Pike Liberal Arts general operating fund is the Annual $10K Drawing. Each family is responsible for two $100 tickets. These tickets may be sold to a third party or purchased by the family. The $200 and ticket stubs must be turned in prior to the drawing or that amount will be added to the family's account.

Other Financial Policies
Checks returned as unpaid will be subject to a thirty dollar ($30.00) returned check fee.

Pike Liberal Arts encourages payments to be made by check. If payment is made with cash, please be sure to obtain a signed receipt for that payment.

Please use the memo line of your check to indicate exactly what is being paid with that check. That will help the school properly apply your payments.

Year to date statements of tuition and fees will be sent as often as is practical or anytime one is requested. Emailing of statements is preferred due to the cost of postage. Please examine each statement closely and notify the Controller, Mary Ann Flowers, promptly of any error or discrepancy.
