About Risen Christ West Campus School

Tuition and Financial Assistance
Tuition, or family share, at Risen Christ School is calculated on a sliding scale, based on a family's ability to pay. For the 2012-2013 school year, the family share will range from $775 to $2,150 per student, with discounts for more than one student. There is no charge for the fourth or fifth student from a family. There is no difference between parishioner and non-parishioner tuition.

The school day begins at 9:55 a.m. and ends at 4:25 p.m.

There currently is an extended day program run by Genesis Place from 7 a.m. to the beginning of the school day. Because of the late dismissal time, there is no after-school extended day. There is an additional fee for this program.

Minneapolis Public Schools provide busing to Risen Christ at no charge. The school district sets the transportation boundaries.

Risen Christ School offers hot lunch every school day. As a participant in the federal hot lunch program, the lunches must meet specific dietary guidelines and free and reduced price (40Â ) lunches are available for any students who qualify. The full cost of a lunch during the 2012-2013 school year will be $2.35; milk is available for 25Â .

Risen Christ School requires students to wear uniforms, which helps students maintain an appearance that is conducive to learning. The specific requirements are different for grades K-2, 3-5 and middle school and are available at the school office. There are two metro area stores that sell school uniforms, although pants and shirts that meet the uniform guidelines are available at most stores that sell children's clothes. School logo sweatshirts are also available for sale for $20 each from the school office.

The Catholic faith provides the foundation for Risen Christ School, but a student does not have to be Catholic to attend Risen Christ. Religion class is part of the curriculum of the school and prayer is integrated into the school day. The school also draws on the diversity of religious traditions represented at Risen Christ to give students an opportunity to learn more about how people of different faiths worship God and live out their religious beliefs.
